Waiting Period: For couples who live in Florida, you must wait 3 days after you receive the marriage license before you can be married. The 3-day waiting period can be waived if you have completed a Florida Premarital Course within the past 12 months.
Expiration: Your marriage license will be valid for 60 days from the date it is issued.
Filing: Your Officiant will sign and return the Marriage License to the Clerk of the Court. It is then officially filed and you will receive one certified copy in the mail.
